Keyword research mapped to your website pages

Which words do your buyers type into Google?

You write 15 to 20 seed keywords, the words your buyers type into Google. Works adds the monthly searches and ranking difficulty for each term. Ranking difficulty is how hard it is to rank high in Google results. Works sorts 20 to 40 keywords into three priority groups. Each keyword gets an existing page to improve or a new page.

How it works

A keyword map built from your buyers' own words

Your seed keywords use the words buyers type when they have the problem you solve. The Keyword Research Agent adds related terms and question terms. It removes terms with low relevance. It also removes terms under the minimum monthly searches you choose. The final list has 20 to 40 keywords. Each keyword maps to one page on your website. Each website page has one primary keyword.

What it needs
The ideal customer profile and buyer personas, as a source of buyer language
A list of current website pages
Competitor website addresses, to find gaps
Google Search Console data, if your site is established
What you get

A keyword map with 20 to 40 target keywords in three priority groups. Each keyword is mapped to an existing page to improve or a new piece of content to create.

Questions

What people ask

What are the three priority groups?

The groups are quick wins, core terms and aspirational terms. The Keyword Research Agent groups keywords by ranking difficulty. Quick wins have the lowest ranking difficulty. Aspirational terms have the highest. Core terms have a ranking difficulty between quick wins and aspirational terms. You decide which ranking difficulty separates a quick win from a core term.

Do you need Google Search Console data?

You need it only if your site is established. Then the keyword list can start from the Search Console terms that already get your site impressions. An impression is one time your site shows in Google search results. Or you can use those terms only to check the list the Keyword Research Agent builds. A brand-new site skips Search Console.

What is a primary keyword?

A primary keyword is the main search term you want a page to show up for in Google. Each website page in the map has one primary keyword. Each keyword maps to one page. The Keyword Mapping Agent lists any pages that share the same keyword. You then confirm that no page has two primary keywords.

What if a keyword fits no existing page?

You choose. You can plan a new page when none of your pages has what searchers want. You can reuse a page on a similar topic. Or you add a section to an existing page. The Keyword Mapping Agent finds the keywords that need new pages. You approve the map when every keyword has a page.
